Man-Made Horrors: March 2026 - Cow Bile and Eye of Newt Edition

Beware the Ides of March! So February’s absurdly short innit? The plan to release two videos a month has encountered the reality that is scope creep… the secondary video’s finished and awaiting a sponsor’s approval, so it’s of course in the limbo of being finished but not released. Though this one, grew from an anticipated 15 to 20 minute exploration of a subject to a 45 minute deep dive. So keep your eyes peeled, because this one’s coming out soon. 

As Justin mentioned in a youtube community post recently, as of 2026, we’re committed to not using any AI generated content on our platform. In the past year, we experimented with its use to make what essentially amounted to memes. A meat robot, a condescendingly smoking mime, none of it ever saw more than 3 seconds of screen time. The technology was never better than a generic meme editor and the vast majority of our footage remained our own or purchased stock footage. Not only is the technology built on theft, it’s also after testing not worth the time or the cost to include in our production. This newsletter and our video scripts have always come solely from our deranged minds and no AI has ever been used or ever will be used to write them. So from January onward, all images that you see, even the most cursed ones, are those we have filmed, sourced, paid for or made ourselves.

From the Cutting Room Floor

In a video released in late December we explored some radio tech that make it surprisingly easy to track and log people’s movement from their phone connections. And knowing that we’re not some “1337” hackers, but just basic enthusiasts in the field makes the ease with which this can be done surprising. Now what we showed were laboratory level experiments, in a controlled environment and obviously the most important part of such an attack would be the field craft used to narrow down the mass of captured IMSI’s to those of interest and matching the phone to specific individuals. There’s a lot of data crunching and installing multiple passive towers to capture the individuals of interest. For example, the US military as well as the US Marshal’s utilizes a variant called DRT Box mounted on a plane, and capable of spying a wide area without needing the ubiquitous black or white commercial vans of the movies. The true danger from this technology isn’t going to come from some guys in a shed trying to intercept and scam random strangers on the street, but from large corporations and governments seeking to identify and crack down on dissenting voices. This can be our own governments, but could just as well be accomplished by foreign entities searching for dissidents that have left oppressive states.

Mass surveillance is a major issue that our societies have yet to fully grapple with. Our cellphones have a major technological flaw, one that ties our identity to the very hardware we utilize. Regardless of the level of encryption we use, so long as it’s all tied back to the identity of the person paying the bills there will be a gaping hole in the security architecture of cellphone networks. Lately governments and big tech companies are pushing for age verification everywhere, under the guise of protecting kids from “adult content” and from nefarious ne’er-do-wells who’d groom them. Yet, they’ve carved out exemptions for politicians and business VIPs from these programs, and as some recent government disclosures have revealed, these people are totally above scrutiny… Anonymity on the internet is a means of protecting all of our privacy and that includes our banking information as much as our kinks. Protecting the privacy of internet users keeps the internet safe to interact with. Once kids’ devices are age verified, and there’s a leak, and there will be a leak, these kids will be more vulnerable than ever before.

In The Works

I realize that I’ve only mentioned the secondary video in the introduction. “But what about the primary video?” I hear you all cry out in unison! Well the primary video also grew so much we’ve had to split it into 2. Turns out plasma processes are actually pretty complex, and so is metallurgy. We’ve found a sponsor for the CT scanner project that can actually subsidize the ludicrous amount of lead we’re having to use to keep ourselves and the neighbours safe. We’ve also set up a hydroponic system in the office to grow some… interesting things. Once we get through germination we’ll share a bit more on that subject. Oddly enough it’s related to the CT scanner.
